HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

Website

Our website contains forms that can be used to subscribe to newsletters, order brochures and other material. We collect your personal information, such as your name, email address, and company name from the data you submit through the forms. We collect information about how you use our website, products, and services, including your IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system.

Like many websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to collect additional website usage data. When you first visit our web site, a cookie is sent to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service and to better understand how people use our sites. We also use cookies on our website to perform targeted and anonymous marketing through various channels, such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. We do this by storing user preferences in cookies and by tracking user trends and patterns of how people navigate our sites. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features or services on our sites may not function properly without cookies.

We use Google Analytics to collect information about the use of our website. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit our website, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other websites they used prior to coming to our website. We use the information we get from Google Analytics to improve our website and services. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit our website, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit our website, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google's ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to our website is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to our website by disabling cookies on your browser.

Registration

To use our software or service, a user must first complete the registration form. During the registration you are required to give certain information (such as name, email address and other contact information). This information is used to contact you about the products/services in which you have expressed interest in. Why do you need to register? We must be able to identify users to have the right understanding about the quantity and location of the users. It is crucial for our business model to be able to justify our customers that we have a lot of users and they use the libraries we provide.

Information about downloaded data

Each time you retrieve a file to your computer through the ProdLib software or website, information about the retrieved data is stored on our servers. The data consists of the user ID, ProdLib product id, quantity, country and the calendar month. If you downloaded a whole library through our software or service, we track the information about what libraries you have downloaded. However, we never collect any information about the actual design project you are working on. The data is collected to provide us and our customers information about their content and regional needs. This will help us and them to develop the service by providing users the offering of the content they need.

DATA RETENTION

We retain your information for a period of six years to evaluate statistics related to downloaded data from our service. After this period, your information will be securely deleted. By using our service, you consent to this data retention policy.

HOW WE USE OUR DATA

Newsletters

You will receive e-mail newsletters informing you about new supplier content or updates available. Additionally, you will receive information about new versions and features of the software.

Each newsletter will contain a link, which can be used to unsubscribe the receiver's email from the mailing list.

Data analysis

Our database contains information about users, where they are located and the date when they registered. Our database also contains information about which products that have been downloaded/inserted, where and when. This information is used for analyzing, marketing and forecasting purposes.

HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

If you have registered as a user in the ProdLib software or service, your contact information will be shared with our customers (content suppliers). Each supplier whose content you have downloaded and have signed a separate data sharing agreement with us, will be able to see your full contact information, and they will be able to send you news and other information through your e-mail. This is why our database contains information about what libraries have been downloaded with your account. Any company that holds a file of personal data, must follow some rules and legislation. For example, a customer company receiving information from us must share the same privacy requirements with us and have a 'Privacy Policy' available for anyone to see. Usually, it's available on the company's web site. In other words, if we share any personal data from our database to third parties, we make sure that they also follow the legislation and good principles. We never sell directly any personal data to any third parties.

INFORMATION SECURITY

We are committed to ensuring that your personal data is secure. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to secure the personal data we collect. All the personal data you provide us is stored in a secure computing environment protected by secure firewalls to prevent unauthorized access. We control access so that only people who need to access the personal data can. When you use our website or our software, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol with 128-bit encryption in all network traffic. This means that all the information sent between your computer and our secure computer environment is encrypted or scrambled so that no one can read it in transit. If the service is using a password for the user authentication, the password is never stored anywhere in plain text.

ACCESSING AND MODIFYING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You can at any time request us to provide you all the information that is stored in the database and connected to your user account. You can also request us to modify or remove all the information regarding your account. Please send all such requests to info@prodlib.com
